If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, your doctor will tell you what effect carbohydrates have on your blood sugar level.
It is also important that you carefully select the type of carbohydrate you are taking. Whole grain products, carbohydrates from fruit and vegetables and fibre are good for you. Be careful with short-chain carbohydrates such as sugar and unsaturated fats.
Most of our products are low in sugar, or contain sweeteners instead of sugar. For example, the Shape Shake contains the sweeteners stevia and sucralose which are metabolized independently of insulin.
All in all, however, you should strive to eat a low carbohydrate diet.
