Coconut oil can be used very sparingly, just 1 teaspoon or a knife tip is enough. Coconut oil begins to melt at about 28°C and can be stored at room temperature for baking and roasting. This gives the coconut oil a spreadable to liquid consistency and makes it particularly easy to dose. The organic coconut oil remains stable up to 200°C during frying. Heating above 200°C can have a negative effect on the quality of the oil and should therefore be avoided.
Our tip: coconut oil, in contrast to conventional oils, gives dishes a special exotic taste. As a versatile oil you can use coconut oil not only for baking and frying, but also for refining fresh salads or as an alternative to butter and margarine on bread and rolls.
